GPS fleet tracking, built end to end
Twings is a custom GPS fleet tracking platform we built with a fleet operator as a product partner. It does the live stuff first. Where every vehicle is, right now, on one map. Then the layers a real fleet actually runs on: geofencing, speed and idle alerts, route optimization, fuel analytics, and driver scoring. We took it from a handful of test trackers to more than 30,000 vehicles streaming position data without the map ever stalling. The hard part was never the dot on the screen. It was keeping that dot honest at scale, across patchy mobile coverage, while the analytics stayed fast.
What fleet operators were stuck with
Fuel bleeding out, invisibly
Drivers wandered off-route and left engines idling, and nobody upstream could see it. Fuel was the biggest controllable cost on the fleet, and it was the one number nobody actually had in front of them.
No live picture, no recovery
Without real-time tracking or geofence alerts, a vehicle that went missing was just gone. Dispatch was working off phone calls and guesses, and a stolen truck had no trail to follow.

Real-Time GPS Tracking
Every vehicle on one live map, with speed, idle state, and a full route history you can scrub back through. The position updates on a tight interval, and we built it to stay smooth even when a few thousand trackers are reporting at once.
Geofencing & Alerts
Operators draw their own zones, depots, customer sites, no-go areas, and the platform fires the moment a vehicle crosses a line. That one feature is what turns a missing truck from a phone-call panic into a notification.
Route Optimization
Route planning that trims the dead mileage and idling drivers rack up without meaning to. Less fuel burned, tighter delivery windows, and a dispatcher who is not redrawing routes by hand every morning.
Fleet Analytics
The reporting layer fleets actually open: fuel by vehicle, driver scorecards, maintenance due on engine hours, and cost trends over time. We tuned it so a year of history still loads without a coffee break.
